Temperature forecast models agree on a gradual warming trend starting this weekend.

NOWCAST:
Mainly cloudy this morning with a few areas of fog which may freeze especially on bridges and overpasses. Use caution during the morning drive as there could be an icy spot or two.

SOME SUN RETURNS:
After a gloomy finish to 2012 and another dreary, raw day to kick off the New Year, some improvement is on the way. Look for some sunshine amidst the clouds as high pressure takes over. It remains quite chilly, though with highs only in the upper 30s. Readings moderate a bit Thursday reaching the lower 40s under partial sunshine. Another dip in temperature happens after a weak cold front passes through Friday with highs barely getting above freezing to close out the week. Nighttime lows will be seasonably cold in the 20s.

WARMING UP:
Afternoon highs climb back into the 40s Saturday and Sunday with a mix of sun and clouds both days. Quiet weather continues into early next week with southwest winds warming us to near 50° Monday and into the lower 50s Tuesday.

TODAY:
Partly to Mostly Sunny…High 37, winds N-5

TONIGHT:
Partly Cloudy and Cold…Low 22, winds Calm

THURSDAY:
Mostly Sunny, a bit Warmer…High 42, winds N-11
