The Week: Sunny Start, Stormy End

Early morning satellite shows some leftover clouds and instability further east while skies have cleared for much of South Central Kentucky.

MORNING NOWCAST:
Mainly clear across South Central Kentucky this morning with a few clouds further east and near the Lake Cumberland region. Temperatures will start in the upper 50s to low 60s and rise to near 72° by 10am and around 76° by noon under a mostly sunny sky.

A SUNNY START:
Today will bring partly to mostly sunny skies with daytime highs in the upper 70s before temperatures return to the low 80s for Tuesday. The mid 80s will be reached midweek before rain cools the area back down into the upper 70s for the week’s end.

A STORMY END:
Scattered showers are possible Wednesday afternoon and evening before more widespread rain and thunderstorms arrive Thursday into Friday. Both days will be mostly cloudy. At this time, the rain will be a bit more scattered for the upcoming weekend, but cloud cover will linger.

TODAY:
Mostly Sunny and Pleasant…High 78, winds N-6

TONIGHT:
A Few Clouds and Mild…Low 57, winds near Calm

TUESDAY:
Mainly Sunny, A Little Warmer…High 82, winds E-5
