A warm and muggy start under a partly cloudy sky. Temperatures will rise from the low 70s to near 83 by 10am and 87 by noon.
LIKE A BROKEN RECORD:
It’s a new week, but the same weather pattern remains in place over South-Central KY. It will stay very warm and quite humid through the early part of the week. Slight chances for isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms also remain a part of the forecast, especially in the afternoon and early evening hours. Locally heavy rain, dangerous lightning, and gusty winds are the main threats with any storms that pop up. Highs today will top out in the upper 80s to near 90, with lower 90s expected into midweek. The nights will stay warm and muggy.
CHANGES LATE WEEK:
A frontal system finally makes it southeastward into the Blue Grass state Thursday into Friday. This will provide us with better shower and thunderstorm chances followed by the return of slightly cooler, less humid air by the weekend.
