Mainly clear this morning with some patchy fog. It will be warm and muggy with temperatures starting in the upper 60s and low 70s rising to near 83° by 10am and around 87° by noon.
HEATING UP, MORE STORMS:
Additional clouds and better coverage of showers and storms (some with torrential rainfall) kept the heat in check over the area Monday. It looks like readings will inch upward over the next two days, however. We should climb to near 90° today with a mix of sun and clouds. The chance for a few isolated showers and thunderstorms is still there, especially in the afternoon to early evening. Wednesday looks hot and humid, with breezy southwest winds taking highs into the lower 90s. Most of Wednesday appears dry, but a cold front making a run at us Wednesday night may bring a round of strong thunderstorms to the region late Wednesday night into Thursday. Highs top out around 90 Thursday.
A COOL DOWN COMING:
The front moving through Thursday will send in cooler air for the end of the week. Highs drop into the 80s Friday, staying there through the weekend. Another disturbance may send more showers and storms our way Saturday.
