Partly cloudy this morning with increasing clouds west. An isolated shower is possible but more likely during the afternoon. Temps will rise from the muggy mid 70s this morning to near 83° by 10am and around 87° by noon.
A BREAK IN THE HEAT:
After several days with temps well into the 90s, the start of a prolonged cool down should get underway today. With northwest winds, afternoon readings will be seasonably warm in the upper 80s. A few isolated showers and thunderstorms are once again possible. Tonight will be a little cooler with lows in the upper 60s.
UNSEASONABLY COOLER, BUT UNSETTLED:
The final weekend of June looks unseasonably cool, although we will have to contend with scattered showers and thunderstorms at times. The best overall chance for rain appears to be Sunday and Monday. Highs will drop into the lower 80s with more comfortable overnight lows in the lower to mid 60s. There will be little overall change in the pattern as July begins, with at least a small threat for thunderstorms each day through the 4th of July.
