Mainly clear this morning with a few areas of patchy fog. We will start with temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s and rise to near 78° by 10am and around 82° by noon under bright sunshine.
MORE LIKE LATE-SEPTEMBER:
Drier, less humid air has moved into the region allowing us to take a rare late-July break from heat and humidity! Temperatures today will be in the mid 80s with a northwest wind. It will be another comfortable evening with overnight lows falling into the mid 60s. Cloud cover will increase with a chance of showers moving in from the west late tonight.
A CHANCE OF SHOWERS:
Another “coolish” front moves through Saturday morning…with it comes a chance for scattered showers and a few thunderstorms. It appears much of the rain will occur during the morning hours through midday and move east in the afternoon. While you may have to dodge a shower or two during the National Corvette Homecoming and the Sounds of Independence Music Festival, it shouldn’t be a total washout as there is a 4-in-10 chance you will get rained on.
INTO NEXT WEEK:
We will have a reinforcing shot of cooler-than-average air for the start of the new work week. It will be mostly sunny but rain chances return by Tuesday and Wednesday.
