Mainly clear this morning with areas of patchy fog. Temperatures will start in the cool low 50s and rise to near 70° by 10am and around 76° by noon under bright sunshine.
A WARM (AND WONDERFUL) DAY:
Sunshine dominated our Thursday once the morning fog burned off. Look for similar weather today with high pressure still in control. Readings will quickly climb from the 50s this morning to the lower 80s in the afternoon under lots of sun. This evening looks nice for area football games with fair skies and lows dropping back into the 50s.
SATURDAY NICE, RAIN FOR SUNDAY:
It will be a tale of two halves for our weekend. The first half looks great, with mostly sunny skies and unseasonably warm temperatures Saturday for WKU’s football game at L.T. Smith Stadium. Clouds increase Saturday night, with shower and thunderstorm chances quite high for Sunday as our next front arrives. Highs drop from the mid 80s Saturday into the mid 70s Sunday.
We dry out Monday with nice weather shaping up as we say goodbye to September and head into October. Highs climb from the 70s Monday and Tuesday into the lower 80s Wednesday and Thursday. Expect seasonably mild lows mainly in the 50s.
