OCTOBER BEGINS BALMY:
Today marks the first day of October, although readings will actually run closer to mid-September norms through much of this week. We’ll be greeted to clouds and some fog before more sunshine returns around midday. With a southwest wind, temperatures should warm into the lower 80s for most locations by late day. Things remain dry and mild tonight under partly cloudy skies.
UNSETTLED WEATHER RETURNS:
Our next disturbance arrives late Wednesday with chances for some showers and perhaps a thunderstorm into Thursday. Highs remain warm in the lower 80s with lows also warm and even a bit muggy in the lower 60s. Friday appears dry at this time.
FIRST WEEKEND OF OCTOBER:
A cold front arrives Saturday night, bringing with it a good chance for showers and thunderstorms. Cooler weather arrives with this system, as highs plunge into the 70s Saturday before dropping further into the 60s Sunday. Overnight lows also fall from the 60s into the mid 50s Saturday night and into the upper 40s Sunday night.
