A weak front washed out over the region Sunday with little more than some clouds and a couple of isolated showers. Today will be dry with increasing high clouds expected. It stays warm with highs in the mid to upper 70s. It will be partly cloudy tonight ahead of an approaching system for midweek. Lows will be mild, only falling into the upper 50s.
SOME RAIN, THEN CHILLY CHANGES:
A frontal system comes closer to us Tuesday with our first chance for rain coming late day. A shower is also possible for the WKU football game at LT Smith Stadium Tuesday night. Our best likelihood for rain and storms comes late Tuesday night into Wednesday as the front moves through. Behind the system, much cooler air – likely the chilliest of the season so far – dives in for the remainder of the week. Highs drop from the 70s Tuesday into the 60s Wednesday. We may not even get out of the 50s Thursday! Overnight lows also plunge into the 40s by late week into the upcoming weekend.
