CLOUDS & SHOWERS MOVING IN:
After a dry Monday, our weather turns more active heading into midweek. Clouds increase this morning as a system moves in from the Plains. By afternoon, we’ll have a chance for scattered showers, especially over western sections. If you plan to head to the WKU football game at LT Stadium at 7, expect cloudy skies with a few showers around. The bulk of the rain – along with possibly some thunderstorms – holds off until late tonight into Wednesday morning. Highs remain warm, topping out in the mid 70s, with mild lows only around 60 tonight.
Much cooler air funnels into the region Wednesday as a cold front moves through. There will be a continued chance for showers Wednesday, with rain diminishing by Wednesday night. Highs fall into the upper 60s for midweek, with lows Wednesday night plunging into the 40s. It stays quite cool for the remainder of the week. There’s a slim chance for a shower Thursday, with Friday looking dry.
10K CLASSIC WEEKEND:
At this time, it appears dry for the annual running of the Medical Center 10K Classic Saturday morning. There’s a slight chance for a shower Saturday afternoon as a reinforcing shot of cooler air moves in. Highs stay in the 60s with chilly lows in the lower 40s.
