STORMY HALLOWEEN:
It is shaping up to be a wet, windy Halloween at the very least, with the threat for severe weather still a concern. A sharp cold front – one packing lots of wind energy and drawing in lots of moisture – moves into the region this evening. We will experience several rounds of showers and isolated thunderstorms through the afternoon. It continues to look very wet and windy for any door-to-door trick-or-treating in the late afternoon to early evening.

The greatest threat for strong storms – some containing heavy downpours – runs from about sunset to near midnight for our area. A few of the storms could reach severe limits. Locally damaging winds would be the primary severe threat, but isolated tornadoes are also possible, especially west of I-65.
