WARMER FOR FRIDAY:
After a Thursday that brought us temperatures and sky conditions almost identical to those of Christmas Day, a nice warmup is in store for today. With a lot more sunshine and a southwest wind expect readings to climb into the lower 50s for most. Another mainly clear and seasonably cold evening is on tap tonight.
THE FINAL DAYS OF 2013:
Saturday will be nice and mild with highs once again in the lower 50s before our next system arrives. This brings an increase in clouds Saturday evening, with rain moving in from the south overnight Saturday into Sunday morning. Highs Sunday should climb into the mid and upper 40s. This first weathermaker heads east Sunday afternoon before an arctic front arrives late Sunday night. We could see a few snow showers or flurries early Monday morning, but no significant snow is anticipated. Highs drop into the 30s Monday and Tuesday.
NEW YEAR’S EVE/DAY:
The new year starts out chilly. There will be a slight chance for some light snow New Years’ Day. Highs remain in the 30s, with lows in the upper teens to lower 20s.
