MORNING NOWCAST:
Cloudy with a few passing flurries. Gradual clearing toward midday.

THE FINAL DAYS OF 2013:
The year ends on a quiet but chilly note. We may wake up to a flurry or two this morning, otherwise we look dry through Tuesday night. Highs only climb into the mid 30s today with upper 30s expected Tuesday.

NEW YEAR’S EVE/DAY:
The new year starts out a little warmer but another Arctic blast will arrive by Thursday. Some clouds are possible New Year’s Eve (Tuesday) night with lows in the low to mid 20s. New Year’s Day will feature partly sunny conditions and temperatures in the upper 40s. Our next weather maker looks to arrive very late Wednesday night into early Thursday with the chance for a wintry mix. However, this system looks short lived and will exit the region by week’s end.

THE FIRST WEEKEND OF 2014:
After a frigid Thursday and Friday, temperatures will warm a little into the upcoming weekend with highs returning to the mid 40s by Saturday with a chance of light rain expected on Sunday.
