Temperatures struggled just to make it into the low 20s Wednesday with lots of clouds around. Clouds will stick around early today along with a chance for a few flurries. Readings will hold near steady in the single digits north and lower teens south. Brisk northwest winds will send wind chill values tumbling below zero! Wind chills will range from -5 to -15 across much of the area through this morning before winds relax a bit late in the day. With mainly clear skies tonight, it will be mighty cold, with lows ranging from 0 to 5 above!
SLIGHT WEEKEND WARMUP:
A small warmup gets underway Friday, with more seasonal air returning Saturday and Sunday. There’s a slight chance for a little light snow Saturday morning, mainly over north/east sections. Highs climb from the 20s Friday into the lower 40s Saturday and Sunday. Lows will be in the 20s.
ANOTHER ARCTIC BLAST:
Old Man Winter is not done with us yet. MORE very cold air is slated to arrive with another arctic frontal passage Monday morning. Highs early next week will plunge into the low 20s, with overnight lows back into the single numbers Tuesday morning.
