EARLY MORNING NOWCAST:
Look for a mainly clear sky with a few clouds at times, especially east.
6am: Mainly Clear 20°
8am: Partly Cloudy 23°
10am: Partly Cloudy 29°
A GLANCING BLOW FROM THE SOUTH:
After a good dose of sunshine Tuesday, clouds are rolling in as a major winter storm takes shape over the Deep South. The northern edge of the snow shield over the Tennessee Valley may clip the southeast corner of the WBKO viewing area this afternoon. With that in mind, there is a slight chance for light snow for areas close to Lake Cumberland and Dale Hollow Lake. Any accumulation will be light (less than an inch). Elsewhere, expect mostly cloudy skies with a few flurries possible. Highs will top out in the mid 30s with tonight’s lows in the lower 20s.
LATE WEEK WARMING:
Warmer weather is in store for Thursday and Friday. Thursday appears dry before a chance for a light rain/light snow mix shows up to close out the week. Highs climb into the 40s with lows in the 20s.
BACK ABOVE NORMAL:
It appears we may put together consecutive days with readings above average to close out the forecast period! Highs jump from the 40s Saturday into the 50s Sunday and Monday. There is a slight chance for a little rain or light snow Saturday evening, with chances for showers Monday into Tuesday.
