ARCTIC BLAST AND A BIT OF SNOW:
February may be in its waning days, but there’s plenty more winter left! Today should feature chilly temperatures similar to Monday’s with partial sunshine and highs in the lower 40s. An arctic cold front slides through tonight with increased clouds and a chance for light snow showers. Any snow amounts will be very minor (dusting to 1/2″, at most), but with temperatures plunging into the upper teens Wednesday morning, some slick travel is possible. Wednesday will blustery and very cold despite sunshine returning. Midweek highs likely won’t climb beyond the freezing mark, with wind chills as low as the single digits Wednesday morning!
“MARCH”ING INTO THE WEEKEND:
Fair weather continues Thursday through early Friday before our next system arrives with a chance of rain and snow Friday night. We dry out for the weekend, with temperatures remaining below normal as we enter into March. Another weather maker could bring us rain or a mix to rain Monday.
The WBKO First Alert Storm Team with our partner Kroger will be selling and programming NOAA Weather Radios during the 2014 Home Expo, this Saturday from 10am until 2pm at the WBKO booth!
