WINTER STORM ISN’T DONE:
After a record one-day rainfall for Sunday, followed by hours and hours of sleet and some freezing rain, this major winter storm isn’t quite done yet. There will be a chance for snow moving through the area this morning which could produce additional accumulations of an inch or two before ending around midday. Travel is extremely hazardous – even on the main roads this morning. Any additional precipitation will come to an end this afternoon but colder air takes over and freezes everything tonight. Temperatures will continue to fall into the teens and single digits overnight and into Tuesday morning!
Sunshine will return for Tuesday but temperatures may only make it a few degrees above freezing, then tumble back into the teens for Tuesday night. However, moderating temperatures will help any snow and ice melt with lots of sunshine Wednesday through Friday. Highs will be in the 40s and 50s to close out the work week.
THE UPCOMING WEEKEND:
There will be slight chances for showers but temperatures will remain mild in the 50s.
