NOWCAST THROUGH LATE MORNING:
We’ll have mostly cloudy skies with areas of fog/freezing fog.
6am: Partly Cloudy 22°
8am: Mostly Sunny 30°
10am: Mostly Sunny 40°
THE BIG MELTDOWN:
We saw enough sun to aid in some snow/ice melt from roadways across the area Tuesday, but clouds slowed the melting for Bowling Green and points southward. Temperatures should warm considerably today, however. Expect more sunshine with readings climbing into the low to mid 40s. Watch for areas of fog and freezing fog this morning which would add to the development of black ice. We won’t be as cold tonight with some clouds and lows in the upper 20s. There could still be some issues with moisture refreezing on mainly less-traveled roads late tonight.
BACK TO NORMAL:
The warming trend continues Thursday into the first part of the weekend. We’ll climb from the 40s Thursday into the 50s Friday. A system cutting across the Deep South could throw more clouds our way Thursday night, but our area looks to stay mainly dry through the end of the work week.
SPRING AHEAD WEEKEND:
A weak weather maker slides in Saturday night, bringing just a slight chance for rain showers perhaps mixed with wet snow. We’ll dry out Sunday into Monday, with highs remaining seasonable in the 50s to lower 60s.
