WINDY BUT WARMER FRIDAY:
After a chilly Thursday, temperatures warm up quite a bit today. With mostly sunny skies and strong southwest winds (which may gust to near 40 mph at times), highs today should reach the upper 60s about 20 degrees warmer than Thursday! Just a few clouds are expected tonight with milder lows in the mid 40s.
DECENT SATURDAY, SOGGY SUNDAY:
If you’re making outdoor plans for the weekend, it will be best to make them for Saturday. We should get by with mainly dry weather Saturday, even though clouds will increase late in the day. Highs stay in the 60s Saturday. Rain chances increase Saturday night into Sunday, as moisture moves in from a developing system over the Southern Plains. This system heads east into the region late Sunday, keeping showers around along with colder temperatures to close out the weekend. We may even see lingering rain switch over to some wet snow late Sunday night into Monday morning, but nothing significant is expected for our area.
CHILLY MONDAY, THEN WARMER:
St. Patrick’s Day looks dry but chilly beyond a chance for a little light snow Monday morning. We will warm back up into midweek, however. Highs jump from the upper 40s Monday into the 60s by midweek. Another chance for rain arrives late Wednesday with another cooldown to follow.
