NOT DONE YET:
Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms have been moving through South-Central KY. It’s been relatively quiet overnight but a large area of heavy rain, gusty winds and lightning is moving through the region this morning. The drenching downpours will cause low visibility and minor flooding in some areas. There could still be a few strong thunderstorms as the morning continues.
QUIETER AND COOLER:
Temperatures drop quite a bit behind the cold front sweeping through later today. Highs will drop into the upper 60s with lows falling into the upper 30s tonight as skies clear. The weekend still looks dry, with lots of sunshine Saturday and again early Sunday before clouds thicken Sunday evening. Highs will struggle to make 60 Saturday before some warming to close out the weekend.
Another storm system moving northeastward out of the Deep South may send more rain back into the region Monday into Tuesday. Temperatures will remain below normal through midweek before some warming Thursday.
