NOWCAST THROUGH LATE MORNING:
Mainly clear with areas of patchy fog and drizzle.

MAY STARTS COOL:
A few places will start with patchy fog and even some light drizzle but skies will be mostly sunny for this first day of May. A cool west wind will keep afternoon highs in the low to mid 60s – about 10 degrees below average! Tonight will be cool once again with lows in the low 40s. Friday will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 60s.

DERBY WEEKEND:
It looks beautiful for Saturday and Sunday with a warming trend getting underway! The weather looks great for not only the Kentucky Derby but also the Mini-Corvette Challenge on Saturday. Afternoon readings climb back into the mid 70s to near 80 degrees!

SUMMER-LIKE WARMTH:
Some of warmest temperatures of the year so far are showing up late in the period. Highs are expected to soar into the low to mid 80s with overnight lows climbing early next week with no rain or storm chances for the extent of the 7-day forecast!
