ONE MORE VERY WARM & DRY DAY:
Our stretch of unseasonably warm highs in the 80s continued for a 4th straight day Wednesday and we will have no trouble tacking on a 5th day to that streak today! With more sunshine and breezy south winds, readings will once again warm into the mid to upper 80s this afternoon. Skies will remain fair through this evening before clouds increase late tonight.
Moisture moves back in ahead of an approaching system Friday morning. Look for periods of showers and thunderstorms Friday into Friday night. While one or two storms could be rather strong, our potential for severe weather appears low. Heavy rainfall is possible to end the week, however. Highs dip into the upper 70s Friday thanks to more clouds around.
Mother’s Day weekend appears a bit unsettled, although it will NOT be a washout. We may have to contend with some scattered showers and storms Saturday, with just an isolated threat for a thundershower Sunday. Highs climb back into the lower 80s. It will remain a little humid through the weekend.
Rain chances ramp back up Monday and Tuesday as another front moves in. We should see fair weather return by midweek. Highs drop from the 80s Monday into the low to mid 70s Wednesday.
