Mix of sun and clouds, warm and humid.
6am: Partly Cloudy 70°
8am: Partly Cloudy 75°
10am: Mostly Cloudy 80°

Monday was our warmest day of the year so far (high: 88) with a good dose of humidity to go with it. It stays quite warm and humid today with a better shot at scattered showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening. Highs climb back into the mid 80s. Lows tonight drop into the lower 60s as rain chances continue.

A cold front moves in and stalls out over the Commonwealth giving us showers and storm chances into Thursday. Some storms Wednesday may be strong to severe with gusty winds, hail, and an isolated tornado possible (a SLIGHT RISK of severe is up for the region Wednesday). A more northerly wind will drag daytime temps from 10 degrees above the seasonable norm to 10 degrees below average for mid May.

Cooler than average temperatures will be the story through the weekend. Highs will top out in the mid 60s Friday into Saturday before some moderation late in the period. There is a slight chance for a shower Friday and again on Sunday.
