Temperatures will be much cooler the next few days but warming returns for next week.

NOWCAST THROUGH LATE MORNING:
Mainly cloudy, breezy and cool with light rain and drizzle.
6am: Cloudy with Drizzle 49°
8am: Mainly Cloudy 50°
10am: Mainly Cloudy 53°

UNSEASONABLY COOL:
A sharp cold front has swept through the region ending the severe weather threat and sending in an unseasonably cool air mass. Shower chances persist on and off through Friday as weak disturbances move through. Highs will only top out in the lower 60s each of the next two afternoons, about 15 degrees cooler than normal. Overnight lows drop into the mid 40s tonight and lower 40s (close to record low territory) Friday night.

GRADUAL WARMING TREND:
Temperatures will remain below average this weekend, but we should see them moderate a bit. We’ll stand another chance for showers Saturday as a weak low cuts across the Tennessee Valley. Sunday appears dry at this time. Highs climb from the mid 60s Saturday to near 70 Sunday.

BACK TO NORMAL:
The warming continues well into next week, with mid and upper 70s returning Monday and Tuesday before readings soar back into the 80s Wednesday. We look dry Monday through Wednesday.
