Monday was our warmest day in nearly a week as seasonable temperatures returned. We’ll keep the sunshine around again today. If you plan to head out to vote at any point during Primary Election Day, there will be no need for umbrellas or even a jacket beyond early morning. Breezy southwest winds (gusting to 30 mph) will help send the mercury soaring into the mid 80s by afternoon. Tonight will be mild with lows only in the lower 60s.
Our next frontal system eases southward from out of the Midwest late Wednesday into Thursday morning. This gives us a decent chance for showers and storms during that period with a few of them possibly strong, mainly north of the Bowling Green area. Readings stay quite warm through Wednesday before backsliding a bit beginning Thursday. The work week ends on a dry and seasonable note Friday.
