Rainfall forecast shows the possibility of 2″ or more of rain through early Thursday.

NOWCAST THROUGH LATE MORNING:
Cloudy and humid with a chance of showers.
6am: Cloudy 68°
8am: Cloudy 71°
10am: Showers/Thunderstorms 75°

RAIN CHANCES RISE:
Expect a stormy time of it through midweek with numerous rounds of showers and thunderstorms. Some of the rain could be heavy at times with a general 1-2″ likely across the region by late Wednesday. A few storms could also be strong with intense lightning and gusty winds. Highs will remain below average due to plenty of clouds these next two days, only topping out in the upper 70s. Lows at night will be warm and rather muggy in the upper 60s.

STILL UNSETTLED BUT WARMING UP:
As skies brighten up late week, we’ll see temperatures gradually moderate back to the very warm normals for mid-June. Daily chances for at least isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms remain in play, although rain should not be as widespread. Highs climb from the low 80s Thursday into the upper 80s by Father’s Day (Sunday) and Monday.
