STILL WET FOR WEDNESDAY:
A slow-moving storm system over the Midwest will be responsible for keeping good chances for showers and storms around through midweek. While no severe weather is expected, some locally heavy downpours are possible for some today. High temperatures stay below average in the upper 70s with plenty of clouds around.
As skies brighten up late week, we’ll see temperatures gradually moderate back to the very warm normals for mid-June. Daily chances for at least isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms remain in play most days, although rain should not be as widespread. Highs climb from the low 80s Thursday into the upper 80s by Father’s Day (Sunday) and Monday. We could be flirting with 90 degrees early next week.
