MORE HEAT AND HUMIDITY:
Wednesday marked day three of our heat wave as temperatures climbed into the lower 90s another time. More similar heat is in store for today along with a good dose of humidity. Much of the day will feature hazy sunshine, although a few isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible any place, any time. Highs will reach the lower 90s with heat indices topping out in the mid to upper 90s.
BETTER RAIN CHANCES:
A cold front slowly dips southward into Kentucky Friday. This will promote better chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms for the start of the weekend. The first official day of Summer (Saturday) will see a chance of showers and a few thunderstorms with highs in the upper 80s. Rain chances decrease a bit by Sunday before ramping up again early next week as another disturbance moves our way. Highs back off a bit into the upper 80s to near 90 over the weekend before more cooling arrives toward the middle of next week.
