NOWCAST THROUGH LATE MORNING:
Mostly cloudy with areas of patchy fog and a few isolated showers.
6am: Mainly Cloudy, Isolated Showers 72°
8am: Mainly Cloudy, Isolated Showers 75°
10am: Mainly Cloudy, Isolated Showers 79°

MORE “HIT-N-MISS” SHOWERS:
Heat rebuilds today into Tuesday as high pressure strengthens over the region. Heat index values could reach into the mid 90s and near the triple digit mark so use caution and stay hydrated if outdoors for extended periods of time. Only isolated chances for showers/storms will start the week with better rain chances as a cold front swings through by midweek on Wednesday.

THE 4thCAST:
Right now, Independence Day looks nice and dry with highs in the mid 80s and lower humidity levels. Plenty of sunshine for the upcoming holiday weekend as temps stay seasonable across southern Kentucky.
