RAIN & STORM CHANCES RETURN:
Summer-like heat and humidity return as we start a new week with a front approaching from the Midwest. Pop-up showers and storms possible ahead of the front during the heat of the day today with highs in the low 90s. A SLIGHT risk for strong storms to become severe for south central Kentucky on Tuesday evening as the front slides south. Damaging winds being the main threat although beneficial rains possible with some locations picking up half an inch if not more late Tuesday. Rain/storm chances linger early midweek before drier air moves in to finish out the upcoming work week.
Another cold front brings scattered chances for showers and storms Saturday and Sunday as highs stay seasonably hot in the low 90s and overnight temps stay mild in the low 70s.
