First School Day Starts Warm, Isolated Showers Later

Aug6school

NOWCAST THROUGH LATE MORNING:
Partly cloudy with a few isolated showers north.
6am: Partly Cloudy 68°
8am: Partly Cloudy 75°
10am: Partly Cloudy 82°

BETTER RAIN CHANCES AHEAD:
An approaching boundary dropping out of the Great Lakes will meet up with Gulf moisture to provide us some relief from the dry weather of late. Starting today, we will see a daily chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms each day through Monday. But as we have seen in times past, these will be your typical Summertime hit-n-miss, splash-n-dash variety providing a short-term fix to a long-term problem. The best chance for a few downpours will come Friday. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s through the period.

YARD SALE WEEKEND:
On-and-off rain chances will keep our forecast a bit unsettled for the upcoming weekend. For the most part, it will continue to be warm and somewhat humid along with a mix of clouds and sunshine – pretty typical weather for the World’s Longest Yard Sale along US 127 Thursday through Sunday. Scattered showers will remain in the forecast through Tuesday of next week.
