NOWCAST THROUGH LATE MORNING :
Warm and muggy with a chance of showers.
6am: Partly Cloudy 68°
8am: Partly Cloudy 74°
10am: Partly Cloudy 82°
We stayed very warm and mainly dry across the area Wednesday, but our chances for badly-needed rain will be on the rise. An approaching wave of low pressure latches onto some Gulf moisture riding northward into the region today. This will promote slightly better chances for isolated to widely scattered late-day storms. Many areas won’t see rain at first, although a few could get in on some heavy downpours. Highs will top out in the upper 80s to near 90. Our rain chances look much better Friday into Friday night as the low enters the region. Locally heavy rainfall is possible to close out the work week. Highs drop into the mid 80s with more clouds around Friday.
YARD SALE WEEKEND:
On-and-off rain chances will keep our forecast a bit unsettled for the upcoming weekend. For the most part, it will continue to be warm and humid along with occasional showers and thunderstorms – pretty typical weather for the World’s Longest Yard Sale along US 127 today through Sunday. Scattered showers will remain in the forecast through Monday of next week.
