NOWCAST THROUGH LATE MORNING:
Partly cloudy, warm and muggy. A few showers to the north.
6am: Partly Cloudy, Isolated Showers 72°
8am: Partly Cloudy, Isolated Showers 76°
10am: Partly Cloudy 84°
THE HEAT IS ON:
Our unsettled weather pattern quiets down today but the heat turns up as the work week comes to a close! High pressure expands eastward snuffing out our storm chances and bringing more sunshine to the area. Highs will reach the mid 90s with heat indices ranging from the upper 90s east to near 105 west. Similar heat and humidity is in store for Friday. It will be a very warm, very muggy evening for high school football games Friday night. Drink lots of water and take frequent breaks if working or playing outdoors.
HEAT WAVE ROLLS ON:
Some of our hottest readings in two years are in store for the weekend! Highs will soar into the mid 90s Saturday and Sunday, with triple digit heat indices likely both afternoons. It remains hot and humid well into next week, with just a tiny chance for an isolated thundershower Tuesday.
