Labor Day Weekend Looks A Bit Unsettled

Aug27pops

HEAT ADVISORY continues through this afternoon for Christian, Hopkins, McLean, Muhlenberg and Todd counties.

NOWCAST THROUGH LATE MORNING:
Fair to partly cloudy. Warm and muggy.
6am: Mostly Clear 70°
8am: Mainly Sunny 74°
10am: Partly Sunny 83°

LITTLE CHANGE IN THE PATTERN:
It’s more of the same through midweek: More very warm temperatures and more high humidity. With mostly sunny skies, highs today will climb into the low 90s with heat indices approaching 100 along the I-65 corridor and a little higher west. Rain chances are very slim – except for an isolated shower mainly north along the parkways. There is a bit better chance for a few spotty showers and thunderstorms Thursday into Thursday evening. The heat and humidity continue into Friday.

LABOR DAY WEEKEND:
It is shaping up to be a humid and unsettled holiday weekend with daily chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms. The best chance of rain will come Saturday night into Sunday. Some of the rainfall could be heavy at times. Highs fall into the 80s through the period with lows around 70. Heat rebuilds a bit after the holiday weekend on Tuesday.
