LATE SUMMER HEAT:
It will be very warm and quite humid as the work week comes to a close. Rain chances stay very slim today (mainly around the Lake Cumberland area) before the possibility for scattered late-day thunderstorms increases a bit Friday. Highs will range from the upper 80s to lower 90s with muggy overnight lows in the upper 60s to lower 70s.

COOLER CHANGES LATE WEEKEND:
Another cold front will pass through on Saturday bringing showers and thunderstorms. However, the front clears on Sunday and ushers in a cooler, less humid air mass for the start of next week. Highs drop back into the low to mid 80s for the weekend, with overnight lows as cool as the upper 50s Sunday night. Another shot at rain shows up next Wednesday.
