NOWCAST THROUGH LATE MORNING:
Breezy with rain and a few thunderstorms, especially east of I-65.
6am: Rain 66°
8am: Rain 68°
10am: Showers East 70°
RAINS AND STORMS:
A sharp cold front arrives in our region overnight with numerous showers and thunderstorms. Some storms have produced gusty winds and locally heavy downpours but the primary severe weather threat has subsided. Showery weather will continue east of I-65 as the front passes through. With more clouds and a wind shift to the west, we will be cooler by afternoon with highs in the mid 70s. Tonight will be chilly with lows plunging into the upper 30s to lower 40s!
A COOL WEEKEND:
The chilliest air of this young Fall season settles in for Saturday! Daytime highs will struggle just to reach 60 in Bowling Green (some spots may not get out of the 50s!). Expect partial sunshine Saturday before skies becoming mainly clear Saturday night. Sunday morning will be quite chilly, with lows in the mid to upper 30s. Our first instance of patchy frost is possible Sunday morning, especially in outlying and sheltered areas. Sunday’s highs climb back to the upper 60s under mostly sunny skies.
A warming trend is expected Monday through Thursday. A weak disturbance moving though may produce a few showers Monday and Tuesday, otherwise the rest of the week looks dry. Highs climb from near 70 Monday to near 80 by Thursday. Overnight lows will range from the upper 40s to mid 50s.
