WET WEATHER COMES BACK:
After a beautiful Wednesday, we’re about to see the return of more clouds and shower and thunderstorm chances. The cold front that passed through Tuesday night lifts back northward as a warm front, parking itself over our area into Friday. One round of showers and storms is possible today with another round of rain and storms likely tonight through much of Friday. The threat for severe storms is low through this period but locally heavy rainfall is possible. Highs will reach the mid to upper 70s each of the next two days.
While it will not rain constantly, we will have to deal with more periodic showers and thunderstorms Saturday into Sunday as disturbances move through. The potential exists for heavy rains which may lead to flooding in parts of the area. A brief cooldown Saturday is followed by a return to highs in the 70s Sunday. A more potent frontal system is expected to arrive sometime late Monday or Tuesday. There is better potential for strong thunderstorms with this weathermaker before things finally quiet down and dry out next Wednesday.
