NOWCAST THROUGH LATE MORNING:
Mainly clear and chilly. A few areas of patchy frost possible.
6am: Clear 40°
8am: Clear 41°
10am: Sunny 50°

A NICE THURSDAY:
Sunshine from Wednesday carries over into today with temperatures a tad cooler than yesterday. We’ll see highs climb into the lower 60s after starting in the 30s this morning. Overnight lows tonight will be milder, falling into the lower 40s as clouds increase with a southeast wind ahead of a system approaching for Friday.

BIG CHILL FOR HALLOWEEN!
Some of the coldest air of the season is set to arrive Halloween night! A cold front will move through our area right at time for trick-or-treating Friday evening. The front may touch off a few light rain showers Friday afternoon and evening. There is even a possibility that some locations – especially east of I-65 – could see some wet snow flakes mix with the rain showers just before they end Friday night (no accumulation expected, though). The big story by far will be the plunge in temperatures late Friday, from a midday high in the mid 50s to the low 40s by evening with blustery north winds. Friday night’s lows will plunge to around 30, likely making for our first freeze of the season.

The weekend starts out chilly, although it looks dry for Saturday and Sunday. Highs Saturday may not make it out of the 40s before some moderation takes place as the weekend draws to a close. We may experience our first hard freeze of the season Saturday night, with lows dropping into the mid to upper 20s.

Don’t forget:This weekend marks the end of Daylight Saving Time (set clocks back one hour Saturday night)!

NEXT WEEK:
Monday looks dry before a decent chance for showers arrives late on Election Day. Highs will be seasonably mild in the low to mid 60s.
