A CHILLING HALLOWEEN!
A “clipper” system sends a sharp cold front through our area today. This system will bring us a mostly cloudy day along with scattered showers that will hang around into trick-or-treat time this evening. Blustery northwest winds – gusting 20-30 mph at times – will add a chill to the air as temperatures tumble from a midday high in the low 50s to the upper 30s early this evening. As colder dives in tonight, moisture wrapping around a low pressure to our east may result in rain showers mixing with or changing over to some wet snow (no significant accumulation expected). The best chance for seeing snowflakes will be east of Bowling Green through early Saturday morning. Lows Friday night will likely dip a bit below freezing for the first time this season.

A CHILLY WEEKEND:
Saturday will feature temperatures running as much as 15-20 degrees below average for the first day of November! Afternoon readings probably won’t climb beyond the 40s. That sets us up for will be the first hard freeze of the season Sunday, with temperatures bottoming out in the mid to upper 20s under mainly clear skies. We’ll see readings moderate a bit with lots of sunshine Sunday afternoon.

Don’t forget: This weekend marks the end of Daylight Saving Time! Set your clocks BACK one hour before going to bed Saturday night.

NEXT WEEK:
Monday looks dry before a decent chance for showers arrives on Election Day night into Wednesday. Highs will be in the 60s with lows in the 40s through the period.
