NOWCAST THROUGH LATE MORNING:
Increasing clouds, breezy at times.
6am: Partly Cloudy 46°
8am: Mostly Cloudy 53°
10am: Mostly Cloudy 61°
Breezy and mild weather wins in a landslide today. Expect some sunshine to start before clouds increase during the afternoon as a frontal system approaches. Highs will once again top out in the mid to upper 60s. Rain should hold off until later tonight – well after polls close in the evening. Lows will drop only into the low 50s tonight.
WET FOR MIDWEEK, THEN COLDER:
Wednesday looks damp with showers moving through as a cold front slowly makes its way eastward. Rain tapers off from west to east Wednesday night as the front eases through. It will be cooler thanks to clouds around on Wednesday, with highs dropping into the 50s. Even colder air dives in for Thursday and Friday. While Thursday starts dry, moisture wrapping around low pressure to our east could bring some rain or even light snow showers to our area Thursday night (no snow accumulation, though). Friday looks dry but chilly.
Temperatures will remain unseasonably cool through Sunday. Another disturbance could squeeze out a few light rain showers for WKU’s Homecoming Saturday with Sunday looking dry. Highs will be in the 50s with lows in the 30s.
