NOWCAST THROUGH LATE MORNING:
Cloudy with periods of rain.
6am: Rain 53°
8am: Showers 52°
10am: Showers 54°
WET FOR MIDWEEK, THEN COLDER:
Our Wednesday looks quite damp! Expect periodic showers to move through as a cold front slowly makes its way eastward. Rain could come down rather heavily at times with upwards of an inch possible for some (especially along the KY/TN line). Rain tapers off from west to east tonight as the front eases through. It will be cooler thanks to clouds around with highs dropping into the upper 50s. Even colder air dives in for Thursday and Friday. While Thursday starts dry, moisture wrapping around low pressure to our east could bring some rain or even light snow showers to our area Thursday night (no snow accumulation, though). Friday looks dry but chilly.
A CHILLY HOMECOMING WEEKEND:
Temperatures will remain unseasonably cool through Sunday. Another disturbance could squeeze out a few light rain showers for WKU’s Homecoming Saturday with another chance for some snowflakes Saturday night as colder air dives in. Sunday looks dry but quite chilly. Highs will be in the 50s Saturday before dropping into the unseasonably cold 40s for Sunday.
EARLY NEXT WEEK:
Temperatures bounce back in time for Veterans’ Day, although we will stand a chance for showers late Tuesday. Highs climb into the 50s with lows around 40.
