NOWCAST THROUGH LATE MORNING:
Partly to mostly cloudy and breezy.
6am: P/Cloudy 52°
8am: P/Cloudy 52°
10am: P/Cloudy 55°
TODAY’S IMPACT: Winds 10-20mph, Gusts to 30mph
Expect a mix of sun and clouds today, although another disturbance swinging southeastward may squeeze out a few light rain showers, especially north and east of Bowling Green. Highs today will hold steady in the mid 50s, about 10 degrees below average. Breezy northwest winds of 10-20mph with gusts of 25-30mph most for the day will be your greatest weather impact. We’ll clear out this evening, setting us up for a cold start to Friday. Even though we should see a good dose of sun through Friday afternoon, it will be quite chilly, as highs struggle just to reach 50 degrees!
A CHILLY HOMECOMING WEEKEND:
Temperatures will remain unseasonably cool through Sunday. Another disturbance could bring us a sprinkle or flurry Saturday evening but not much more. Sunday looks dry but quite chilly. Highs will be in the mid 50s for WKU’s Homecoming Saturday before dropping to around 50 for Sunday.
NEXT WEEK’S IMPACT: Arctic Cold!
Temperatures bounce back in time for Veterans’ Day, although we will stand a chance for showers late Tuesday. Another blast of chilly air – perhaps our coldest of the season so far – is set to arrive around midweek.
