NOWCAST THROUGH LATE MORNING:
Gradual clearing and cooler.
6am: Mainly Clear 34°
8am: Mostly Sunny 39°
10am: Mostly Sunny 45°
A BIT COOLER:
Expect tranquil but very cool weather to close out our work week. With mostly sunny skies, highs will struggle just to make the lower 50s in the afternoon. It will be mainly clear but quite chilly for the WKU Homecoming Parade along with high school football playoff games this evening. Lows will bottom out in the lower 30s tonight.
Temperatures will remain unseasonably cool through Sunday. A fast moving, weak cold front may spread some clouds our way Saturday, but it now appears we’ll make it through the weekend dry. Highs will be in the upper 50s for WKU’s Homecoming Saturday before dropping a bit into the low 50s Sunday.
NEXT WEEK’S IMPACT: Arctic Cold!
We’ll catch a brief warmup Monday into Veterans’ Day (Tuesday), but a sharp cold front is expected to arrive late Tuesday. With it comes a good chance for showers followed by a blast of cold arctic air…likely our coldest of the season so far! Highs plunge from the 60s to start the week into just the lower 40s Wednesday and Thursday…about 20 degrees below normal!
