NOWCAST THROUGH LATE MORNING:
Scattered rain showers, possibly mixed with sleet at times.
6am: Showers 40°
8am: Showers 39°
10am: Showers 40°
After finally seeing a little sunshine Wednesday, clouds have rolled back in as a series of disturbances moves in from the west. The first one arrives today with a good chance for numerous showers. Today’s rains will be fairly light…generally less than a tenth of an inch. Highs stay cool, topping out in the upper 40s. More intermittent showers and likely Thursday night into Friday. Some heavy rainfall is likely Friday night as low pressure moves right through the area. A few rumbles of thunder are also possible Friday afternoon. Rain amounts could exceed one inch for many by Saturday morning. We’ll be warmer to close out the week thanks to south winds with highs reaching the low 60s Friday.
CHRISTMAS PARADE WEEKEND:
The forecast for Saturday’s parades looks better overall. At this time, it appears rain is likely early Saturday morning before it tapers off and ends late morning. The rest of the weekend looks dry. We’ll have an early day high near 60 Saturday before readings fall into the upper 40s late day. Highs Sunday will be seasonably cool in the lower 50s.
A fairly quiet period of weather will be with us Monday through Wednesday with highs near average in the low 50s but dropping into the upper 40s by the middle of the week.
