DENSE FOG ADVISORY for portions of South Central Kentucky until 9am
NOWCAST THROUGH LATE MORNING:
Cloudy with areas of dense fog and rain developing.
6am: Cloudy, Areas of Fog/Rain 50°
8am: Cloudy, Areas of Fog/Rain 53°
10am: Scat’d Showers 58°
SOGGY DAY AHEAD:
A warm front is moving northward through the region this morning bringing dense fog and another round of rain. The heaviest and steadiest rains – along with some rumbles of thunder – arrive this evening as low pressure moves right over us. Many areas will pick up an additional 1-2″ of rain by Saturday morning. It will be breezy and much warmer thanks to south winds. Expect highs to soar into the mid to upper 60s with mild lows only in the upper 50s tonight.
CHRISTMAS PARADE WEEKEND:
The forecast for Saturday’s parades looks better overall. At this time, it appears rain is likely early Saturday morning before it ends late morning. The rest of the weekend looks dry. We’ll have an early day high in the lower 60s Saturday before readings fall into the upper 40s late day. Highs Sunday will be seasonably cool in the lower 50s.
A fairly quiet period of weather will be with us Monday through Thursday. Afternoon highs Monday will be near normal in the lower 50s before dropping into the upper 40s by the middle of the week. Lows will range from the upper 20s to mid 30s.
