We start the work week with cloudy skies and somewhat seasonable temperatures. High will reach into the low 50s today which is near the average high of 50°. A cold front will pass through the region around midnight tonight ushering much colder air for Tuesday. There may even be a few sprinkles or flurries but no impacts or accumulation is expected.
Clouds will linger through much of Tuesday and Wednesday as an area of low pressure – cut off from the upper flow – sits over the eastern US and keeps us rather chilly. As the system departs on Thursday, we will finally see a return to sunshine but highs will remain below average in the mid to upper 40s and lows will dip into the mid 20s to low 30s.
THE UPCOMING WEEKEND:
For now, we look to see lots of sunshine through Sunday with a bit of a warming trend. Highs will rebound into the mid 50s while lows recover into the low to mid 30s.
