NOWCAST THROUGH LATE MORNING:
Areas of rain and fog. Breezy with falling temps.

We look to establish an early high in the mid 50s this morning before a cold front passes through. More showers and a possible thunderstorm will accompany the front’s passage along with wind gusts of near 30 mph. As temperatures fall into the mid to upper 30s tonight, there will only be a few sprinkles left. A passing flurry is possible further north but no icy travel is expected since temperatures should remain above freezing.
Early morning clouds will give way to a mostly sunny day with highs in the upper 40s, a few notches above normal.
FINAL WEEKEND OF 2014:
More warm air is expected Friday with highs in the 50s before another shot of cooler air moves in for Monday and Tuesday. Chances for rain exist from Saturday through early Tuesday as a front stalls across the region. Most of the precipitation will be rain but we could see a light rain to snow mix late Monday into Tuesday morning. Much colder air moves in for the start of the new year.
