Last night was the coldest night of the season thus far. Temperatures dipped into the single digits as expected with wind chills below zero. Today will remain very cold with early day sun giving way to late day clouds. Highs will reach the low 20s but breezy southwest winds will create wind chills between 0 and 10° during the afternoon.
A reinforcing shot of cold air arrives late tonight. This brings with it clouds along with a chance for a few snow flurries Friday morning. The best chance for flurries is north of Bowling Green. Otherwise, Friday will feature some sun, but it will remain cold.
Arctic cold slowly retreats late week into the weekend, although temperatures remain below normal. A couple of systems may impact our weather next week. The first one arrives late Sunday into Monday with mainly rain. The second arrives Wednesday with rain or snow possible.
