A cold front passing through the region has put an end to the rains but temperatures are taking a big tumble this morning. A few snow showers are also possible in a few areas – especially along the Cumberland Plateau where a dusting is possible. Gusty northwest winds of 15-25 mph are doing a good job “drying” off the roadways but is adding an extra chill to the air. Watch for some possible icy spots on area roads and surfaces. We will see gradual clearing later today with highs only in the low 30s. Lows tonight will reach into the upper teens to near 20°
ROLLER COASTER TEMPS AHEAD:
We will see a bit of warming the next few days as highs reach into the low 40s Tuesday and into the low 50s Wednesday. However, another disturbance moves in Wednesday night bringing a chance of light rain and snow showers along with colder air. Highs will only reach into the low 30s Thursday, then warm back into the 40s and 50s by the weekend. Another chance for rain moves in for Sunday.
